The Mary McKillop Foundation in partnership with Monash Health and Holmesglen Institute are proud to fund a Scholarship Program available for the benefit of prospective students who are current Monash Health volunteers with refugee or asylum seeker status and who wish to undertake study in a variety of courses including:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate III in Pathology Collection
- Certificate III in Business Administration (Medical)
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
The program is aimed at providing an opportunity for those prospective students who have demonstrated a commitment to education and self development.
Scholarship conditions
The Holmesglen/Monash Health Scholarship is available to help prospective students who because of hardship related to their refugee or asylum seeker status might not otherwise enjoy the benefits that flow from participation in tertiary education.
- A person who has volunteered with Monash Health and is in good standing, OR a person referred by partner agencies
- Applicants must be eligible for a Government Supported Place and enrolling in a program that is higher than the Australian qualification currently held
- Scholarships are not available to Holmesglen Institute employees or their immediate families or associates
- Selection panel decisions cannot be appealed against and no correspondence concerning decisions will be entered into
- Only one scholarship can be awarded to an individual
- The scholarship money will be provided in the year of 2018, and must be used for the payment of fees. The scholarship is in no way intended to cover all tuition or living costs for the year
- Incomplete applications will not be considered
