Annika recognises that a life well lived is about making the years count, not simply counting them. Already, in her young life, she has done more than most, embracing a proactive approach to everything she completes.
Part of the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria's Young Thinkers in Residence, Annika is a strong and leading voice in standing up to family violence. Her goals – the same mentality she brings to the classroom – are about raising awareness and hope.
As part of her admirable social campaign, she was also instrumental in developing a short-film project, 'The Hidden Victors'. She has presented to state ministers, was featured in an ABC Online story and also interviewed by Women's Weekly.
All of these motivations coincide with her justice course. Holmesglen has offered her the skills and knowledge to go with her determination.
"Annika was well-respected among the VCAL group and was a positive contributor to all peer discussions and team-based projects," reflects Vocational College Program Coordinator, Adam Cooper.
In her personal life, Annika is a member of the Highett Bulldogs' Woman's Football Team.
