Pace Development Group is an industry leader in designing, constructing and delivering apartments across Melbourne. With Melbourne’s Increasing market demand and Pace’s expanding portfolio, there has been a significant increase in the organisation’s workforce. Due to these circumstances, Pace recognised a need for its key project staff to further develop their professional mindset and commercial acumen.

Pace approached Professional Workforce Solutions (PWS) to establish a professional learning and development program which would provide its staff the opportunities to acquire key skills and knowledge relevant to their daily work activities. Pace was keen to partner with PWS to provide engaging learning across an extended program of classroom-based delivery which provided an environment for group discussion and interaction with peers.

PWS designed a comprehensive program and in February 2017 a total of 34 Pace employees began a 10-month professional learning and development program at the Holmesglen, City Campus. The topics for the course came from PWS’ three core offerings across the Business Foundations, Professional Essentials and Leadership suite. Each core program was developed to educate the workforce with skills and knowledge of business, professional behaviours and leadership.

The Results
Participants indicated that the learning program was extremely effective in meeting their expectations, with 92% of participants agreeing that both the topics and format of the program was either very effective or extremely effective. Participants advised that the overall program was insightful and imparted new skills and knowledge that will be valuable for building a strong business and workplace culture.
