Explore being my own boss workshop

Still wanting to assess if small business is the right decision? Our short workshop series could be the next step.

Explore being my own boss workshop

Explore being my own boss is a workshop designed to help job seekers learn what it means to be an entrepreneur or small business owner. During the workshop, you will learn about the soft skills and technical skills needed to achieve your business goals, as well as discover more about yourself.

You are not required to set up your business at the end of the workshop, but to have an appreciation of how to do it and an understanding of whether entrepreneurship is a viable career path for you. At the end of the program, if you are confident that starting a small business is the right path for you,  joining a NEIS program is likely to be the next step for you. Each day of the workshop covers a new topic area relevant to business set up and success!

This is a free workshop.

The course duration is 10 days in total, with different content on every day.  The workshop days may be delivered over a two or four-week period, either online in a blended mode or face to face subject to enrolments.

Participants must
  • be working less than 25 hours per week on average
  • not be in full-time education or training
