Explore being my own boss workshop Explore being my own boss is a workshop designed to help job seekers learn what it means to be an entrepreneur or small business owner. During the workshop, you will learn about the soft skills and technical skills needed to achieve your business goals, as well as discover more about yourself. You are not required to set up your business at the end of the workshop, but to have an appreciation of how to do it and an understanding of whether entrepreneurship is a viable career path for you. If you are confident, at the conclusion of this program, that starting a small business is the right path for you joining a NEIS program is likely to be the next step for you. This is a free workshop. Currently all programs are delivered remotely in a virtual classroom environment. The course duration is 10 days. Participants must be working less than 15 hours per week on average not be in full-time education or training able to attend the workshop full time (10 days, 10-3pm each day).
