Kick off your career in the sports industry at Holmesglen, with the dual Diploma of Sport Development with the Diploma of Event Management.

The Diploma of Sport Development teaches you how to manage meetings and projects, plan and implement high performance training, coaching and recovery programs and support athletes to adopt principles of sport psychology.

Through the Diploma of Event Management, you'll have the opportunity to attend major events such as the Australian Grand Prix, A League soccer and National Basketball League, visit the Victorian Institute of Sport and gain hands-on experience volunteering at a major event.

To prepare you for a career as a sport coach, administrator, sports club or event manager, you’ll organise swimming and athletic carnivals, and plan, organise and coach various sports and recreational activities.

Practical placement is a key component for these qualifications. It is a structured program designed to give all students a true ‘hands on’ experience prior to entering the industry. Practical placement is designed to bridge the gap between study and employment.

When you graduate, you’ll receive the nationally endorsed Diploma of Sports Development and the Diploma of Event Management.

Afterwards, you can transfer your credits to the Bachelor of Sport Business or delve into the industry straight away.

This program has compulsory activities/materials as part of the learning experience. The department will confirm the cost of these activities/materials prior to your enrolment. You will also be required to provide a Working with Children Check.
