If you have a passion for the great outdoors then the Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation could be the course for you. Your studies will take you on location as you explore the Australian bushlands.
You will gain the skills which will allow you to guide and teach others as you lead groups in hikes, tours or outdoor activities.
This course is ideal for adventurers who are enthusiastic about outdoor activities such as hiking,
climbing, rafting, mountain bike riding and canoeing. As part of the course, you will complete a two to three week placement in the outdoor recreation industry.
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards

Good passes at Year 11 level or the overseas equivalent and preferably some relevant
English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (Academic) with no individual bandscore
less than 5.5.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. QUALIFICATION AND RECOGNITION
After completing the course, you will receive the nationally endorsed SIS40313 Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation and SIT40216 Certificate IV in Guiding.
You can further your studies in the SIS50310 Diploma of Outdoor Recreation.
