To help people impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Victorian Government is offering free, nationally accredited short courses to help you learn a new skill, reskill or upskill. With many of Victoria’s major infrastructure projects in the pipeline, employers are actively looking for more skilled people. Doing these free skill sets gives you the chance to get back into the workforce or find a new job in the construction industry. These free, government-subsidised skill sets are available to the public and are exempt from the usual eligibility criteria. You must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen. Students can undertake up to three free Construction Industry Skill Set courses.
