Green thumbs are made and not born, especially when you understand the basic principles of gardening and gardens. This course is structured to provide information to solve basic garden problems in relation to soils, plant growth, pruning, pests and disease control and propagation.

Outcomes

    • Understand the basic functions and requirement of plants
    • Understand the process of plant identification
    • Understand the nature of soils, PH and composting
    • Become aware of the nature of plant pests and diseases and their control
    • Become able to undertake basic propagation processes
