Learn some of the key features used in Microsoft Word and Excel and learn word processing, formatting and templates in Word and how to create and format spreadsheets in Excel.


    • USB memory stick (2GB minimum)
    • Basic computer skills are essential


    • Start and exit from Office 2016 and work with general features
    • Create a Word document based on a template, spell check, save and print a new document
    • Create a letter using simple formatting - insert date, alignment, font etc
    • Select text using a mouse or keyboard and modify text in a document using cut, copy, paste, line spacing, bullets, numbering and format painter
    • Create and modify tables � insert and delete columns and rows
    • Create an Excel workbook � open, save, print and move about the worksheet and cells
    • Use functions and formulas � add, subtract, multiply and divide
    • Select, copy, paste and fill cells
    • Enhance a workbook � formatting fonts, texts and colours
    • Create effective charts
