Track your work projects effectively and efficiently using Microsoft Project. Topics include; creating new projects, setting tasks and relationships between tasks, inputting constraints, managing deadlines, creating and assigning resources, determining costs, monitoring progress and printing data. Level 2 aims to provide the learner with skills in Microsoft Project beyond the basics and covers topics such as project scheduling, resource allocation problem solving, entering and tracking costs, Gantt chart printing and project formatting.


    • USB memory stick (2GB minimum)
    • Basic computer skills are essential


    • Start MS Project 2016 and work with its key screen features
    • Create a new project file
    • Understand key project management concepts
    • Enter and work with: tasks in a project, durations for tasks, task relationships
    • Create and work with resource pools
    • Understand resource assignment concepts and assign resources to tasks
    • Enter a wide range of costs into a project
    • Set constraints and deadlines in a project
    • Monitor and track a project
    • Print information from a project
    • Assign material resources in a project and track costs within a project
    • Assign constraints and deadlines to tasks in a project. Track progress of a project
    • Work with Views and Tables in Microsoft Project
    • Print data and Gantt Charts in a variety of ways and presentations
    • Use various techniques for levelling over allocation of resources
