Learn AutoCAD 2D drafting concepts using the industry leading CAD software. Topics include; 2D drawing, dimensioning, hatching, block creation, plotting, scaling, model space and paper space, lsp vlx and arx Visual Lisp editor, AutoCAD set up and system variables. You will learn to develop your CAD computer skills through interactive exercises and a small drafting project. Textbook required is Introduction to AutoCAD 2017 (book is provided in AutoCAD level 1)


Requirements

    • USB memory device (2GB minimum)
    • Pen and notebook
    • Prior experience with AutoCAD or completion of AutoCAD level 1
    • Please note this course teaches the general use of the software which can be applied to a wide range of design and drafting disciplines

Outcomes

    • Become familiar with AutoCAD processes and use of mouse function keys
    • Cover topics including 2D drawing, dimensioning, hatching and block creation Understand drawing setups and fundamental AutoCAD commands
    • Gain competency scaling model space and paper space and learn setting pens and plotting using the program
    • Complete a minor drawing using AutoCAD
