Learn to use your DSLR with confidence by understanding the technical components and workings of your Digital SLR camera equipment. Topics include; camera operation, understanding aperture, shutter speed, composition, lenses, flash and accessories. This course also includes photo shoots and an excursion. You will have plenty of hands-on practice from an instructor with over 20 years of photographic experience

    • SLR camera (film or digital)
    • There are no prerequisites for this course

Outcomes

    • Become familiar with their SLR camera and understand what type of lens is best suited for specific tasks
    • Learn the significance of Aperture, Shutter Speeds, ISO sensitivity
    • Be introduced to the various digital sensors/sizes and their impact
    • Learn to compose images and improve the art of picture taking
    • Learn to control their images by creative and exposure means
    • Learn about lighting and flash techniques to improve image capture
