What are the key ingredients to become a great fashion stylist? Throughout this course, we will focus on what a fashion stylist actually does for industry and personal clients, and how to incorporate fashion trends into styling. We will explore how a stylist uses colour matching and dressing for various body shapes and how to present your ideas using styling and mood boards. Tailored for the Retail environment this course is ideal for people who have a love of fashion.


Requirements

    • A notebook and pen
    • Magazine cuttings as directed by the trainer in class
    • Pencils, A4 paper, glue, scissors and eraser, fineliners, coloured pens
    • There are no prerequisites for this course

Outcomes

    • Gain an understanding of what a stylist does
    • Learn the skills required to be an effective fashion stylist
    • Learn how to research styling ideas and create mood boards
    • Learn how to become a personal retail stylist - including use of the colour wheel
    • Gain confidence in wardrobe consulting
