Relax and enjoy the fluid motion of using pastels to capture the changing moods of landscape in this inspirational short course. Create stormy skies, trees in the wind, luminous sunset and rolling blue seas. Join fellow art enthusiasts and tap into your artistic creativity for fun; whilst gaining valuable knowledge of what sits behind the creation of beautiful landscape art. All skill levels welcome.


Requirements

    • 2B, 4B pencils
    • A3 Pastel sketch pad white paper/ or coloured
    • 2 Charcoal sticks
    • Spray fixative (To be used in a ventilated area)
    • Soft pastels (set of 12 or more)
    • Kneadable and vinyl erasers
    • Old bath towel
    • Cotton buds
    • Hand wipes

Outcomes

    • Explore the freeing creativity of using charcoal and pastels
    • Be encouraged to express the variety of moods that landscape evokes by using tone, colour, rhythm and form. Using broad strokes without a dominance of fine detail
    • Draw from photo reference of landscapes provided
    • Work with Stormy Skies/ Tree Silhouette in the Sunset/ Rolling Blue Seas
