Studying the Certificate III in Travel at Holmesglen
Our part-time course is designed to fit into your busy lifestyle, with classes held twice a week in the evening.
Holmesglen's simulated tourism office showcases the latest industry software to complete studies in live airline reservations, fares and ticketing using Amadeus.
You'll study enticing destinations and impressive travel products, and learn to provide exceptional customer service.
This course provides you with the minimum required skills and knowledge you'll need to begin a career in travel and tourism.
The course is delivered Tuesday and Thursday nights, 6pm-10pm
To receive this qualification you must complete 14 core units and three elective units.
Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from the travel and tourism industry.
If you have already completed other eligible elective units, these may be counted towards completion of this course.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Mature attitude and approach to study; good communication, organisational and technical skills; ability and desire to work face to face with customers; smart presentation and grooming; ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.
These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Qualification and recognition
On completion, you will attain the SIT30216 Certificate III in Travel.
