Studying the Diploma of Event Management at Holmesglen
This innovative course provides you with the opportunity to work with industry professionals, gaining the skills and knowledge you need to create, develop and stage a range of events from festivals to business events with a focus on event registrations, conferences, selecting venues, technical production, and a range of management systems.
It also offers hands-on access to a variety of event management software programs to help you coordinate and manage successful events.
The course is created to ensure that you will have the vital skills to coordinate and manage a successful events.
This intensive events program is delivered as a flexible, student-focused night course which includes a blend of classroom study and off campus activities.
The course represents the next stage in your professional pathway. It is designed for mature-aged students who are currently organising events in the corporate, small business, non-profit and government sectors.
It is suitable for personal assistants, executive assistants, professionals in the industry who are looking at formalising their qualification, and anyone with previous experience and a passion for events industry.

Assessment
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
