Studying the Certificate IV in Digital and Interactive Games at Holmesglen
With this course, you will discover the latest state-of-the-art techniques used to develop 3D models and games.
You will learn how to create and develop 3d models, animations, game user Interfaces, and use programming techniques in order to give functionality to your games. We'll help you bring your ideas to life – to create an experience players will never forget.
The program has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of the latest industry software and development environments, giving you the skills you need to design, create, develop and deploy games to your target platform and app stores.
You'll make the most of industry’s latest software (including Maya, Unity, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop and 3d Coat) and learn how to design, create, develop and deploy a wide range of games, such as third-person shooters, side-scrollers and multiplayer games.

Assessment
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

Applicants intending to learn remotely will require access to:
A computer or laptop with the following minimum specification:
Quad Core CPU
• 16GB of RAM
• CPU with minimum 4mhz processor or faster
• 200GB of Storage
• Operating System: Windows 10
• Monitor 24" (PC only, dual monitor optional but preferred)
• Head set microphone (webcam optional but preferred)
• Access to a reliable Internet connection
Software: Windows Office 16
Holmesglen also requires all applicants to have the ability to:
• turn on a computer
• use a mouse and keyboard
• open and close a software application
• conduct a search in a web browser
• send and receive an email
• save a file, and locate a saved file
• download and install software application.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a Pre Training Review interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen.
