Studying the Certificate III in Flooring Technology at Holmesglen
Holmesglen has been training Flooring Technology apprentices for over 15 years. Training is delivered in our especially designed facilities, with a focus on providing hands-on and practical training.
Training in this stream focuses on the installation of timber, parquetry, laminate and bamboo flooring including restoration of original timber floors.
Flooring technology will see you working in both domestic and commercial sites and renovation projects.
Holmesglen offers flooring technology apprenticeship training in four streams. Apprentices can seek overall knowledge and skills or focus solely on specialty areas: General, Carpet, Timber or Resilient.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Training agreement with a registered employer from the flooring industry.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and to attend a pre-training interview.
These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Qualification and recognition
On completion, you will attain the MSF30818 Certificate III in Flooring Technology.
How to apply
A training contract must be completed by the employer and apprentice within the first two weeks of employment.
An Australian Apprenticeship Support Network representative will visit the workplace to complete the training contract with the employer and the apprentice.
