Entry Requirements

To be eligible, you must meet these requirements:<p> - Have a C.I. Card.<br> - Be currently employed in the relevant industry.<br> - Be at least 18 years old or have 12 months of work experience in construction or a relevant industry.<br> - Meet the entry levels for language, literacy, and numeracy.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. This accredited skillset is made up of two competency units: <br>RIIWHS205E covers the skills and knowledge required to Control Traffic with Stop-Slow Bat <br>Introduction to traffic management <br>- Types of signs, controlling traffic, incident reports and communications devices* <br>- Housekeeping, traffic guidance schemes and site paperwork*<p>RIIWHS302E covers skills and knowledge required to Implement Traffic Management Plans.<br>- Introduction to Implement Traffic Management* <br>- Signage, Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes, risk assessment and hierarchy of control* <br>- Supervising site close-down and job reporting*

Assessment

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

Qualification and Recognition

Upon successful completion of the test, participants will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the two units: RIIWHS205E - Control traffic with a stop/slow bat, and RIIWHS302E - Implement traffic management plans.
