Studying the Skills Uplift - Civil Construction Traffic Management Pathway 1 at Holmesglen
During this course you will also undertake the Construction Induction unit (White Card) which is a prerequisite in construction and infrastructure workplaces.
Our civil construction traffic management skill set is being run as part of the Victorian Government’s Skills Uplift program and provides participants with the entry level skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment in civil construction to support the Victorian Government’s major infrastructure projects.
Traffic management skills can be a good starting point for a job in the construction industry, with the next step getting an apprenticeship or traineeship in civil construction.
Due to social distancing restrictions to avoid the spread of COVID-19, delivery of some of the units of competency have been postponed.
This accredited program is made up of eight units that have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications. Our qualified and experienced trainers offer customised training solutions to suit your needs.
For students who have already completed one or more of these units, these may be counted towards completion of this course.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
Unemployed and underemployed participants who are referred through a Skills and Job Centre, and hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
A good command of the English language, both written and verbal, is recommended.
Confidence using tools and machinery will be beneficial however learning will occur in the program.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this course.
Qualification and recognition
On completion, you will attain the Statement of Attainment of completed units of competency.
