Studying the Certificate II in Construction Pathways at Holmesglen

Undertaking this course will give you a chance to sample a variety of trade skills and help you find your career path in a highly employable sector.<p>You'll learn the best work health and safety practices, how to correctly use tools, and learn about the materials you will be working with. You will gain a great understanding to the building and construction industry.<p>All the qualification’s units will meet the requirements, and provide some credits in most Certificate III qualifications - apprenticeship courses - in building and construction trades.<p>You’ll gain an understanding of building skills and principles and be exposed to common scenarios you’ll experience on the job.<p>Our teachers are industry experts that have worked in the field. Here at Holmesglen, we structure our courses to use our real-world working environments so you're prepared to enter into an apprenticeship and begin your trade.

Entry Requirements

All Learners must be enrolled in VCE or VCE(VM) at a Secondary College. This VET delivered in Secondary Schools program is managed by the Manager of Youth Sector Relations Vocational College and relevant Colleges.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.<p>These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Assessment
