This online Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) has been designed to meet the needs of a building professional who coordinates the construction of a building, taking responsibility for the overall completion of the job, including selecting contractors, overseeing the work and its quality, and liaising with the client.

Studying the Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) at Holmesglen
Students in this self-paced program will have access to learning material via Holmesglen's online learning management system Brightspace.
You will have access to online tutors via phone, email or drop-in tutorials at set times if they require further support.
It is recommended students allocate 5-10 hours per week per unit to be adequately prepared and to maximise their learning in the program.
You will be provided with a recommended study path for the course and duration of completion of the units.
To receive this qualification you must complete 13 core units and five elective units.
Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.
If the learner has already completed other eligible elective units, these will be counted towards completion of this program.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.
People who wish to undertake this program should be over 18 and have at least completed Year 10.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview.
These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Qualification and recognition
Upon completion students will receive the CPC50210 Diploma in Building & Construction.
