The Certificate II in Plumbing (Pre-apprenticeship) is designed to provide entry level training if you want to pursue employment and career opportunities within the plumbing industry.
You will be provided with skills and knowledge in plumbing, including: technical drawing and plan development, plumbing of fixtures and fittings, introduction to welding, technical drawing and plan development.
The course is delivered in Holmesglen's specially designed facilities, where an emphasis is placed on providing hands-on practical training wherever possible.
This is a Free TAFE course
Students who are eligible for Victorian Government subsidised training may not have to pay course tuition fees when they enrol in a Free TAFE course.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards

There are no formal entry requirements.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. QUALIFICATION AND RECOGNITION
On completion, you will receive the 22304VIC - Certificate II in Plumbing (Pre-apprenticeship).
You may further your studies in the CPC32413 Certificate III in Plumbing (Apprenticeship), and eventually progress through to a CPC40912 Certificate IV in Plumbing and Services (Plumbing License Training).
