Students can enter the Certificate II in Building and Construction – Painting and Decorating Pre-apprenticeship through the following ways:
• Leaving school and applying to enter the course
• Completing VCAL or VETiS and applying to enter the course
• As a mature aged or retraining student and applying to enter the course
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Qualification and recognition
After successfully completing this course, you will be eligible to receive the 22338VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship and receive credits towards apprenticeship courses in the painting and decorating field.
