Studying the Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging at Holmesglen
This course provides practical training with a strong vocational focus on digital photography, studio practice and image post production.
Our teachers and are industry experts who inspire, encourage and support students to create work of exceptional standards both creatively and technically.
Graduates leave our course with a strong understanding of photographic practices and principles. Many of our students gain employment in a wide range of photo-media positions or as freelancers with commercial clients. The course also provides a strong foundation for more advanced study at diploma or degree level.
To receive this qualification you must complete 10 core units and five elective units.
Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.
If you have already completed other eligible elective units, these may be counted towards completion of this course.

Please provide a folio consisting of any style of photography, folio with mounted prints preferred. It is suggested that you include 10 to 20 carefully selected images.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
Recognition of prior learning
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. Qualification and recognition
On completion of the course, you will receive the CUA41115 Certificate IV in Photography and Photo Imaging.
