The Certificate IV in Screen and Media will provide you with an introduction to digital media skills that apply to the fields of film and television, animation and interactive multimedia.
You will study subjects designed to produce a folio of work that can be used for entry to screen and media courses at both diploma and degree level.
You will learn drawing, storyboarding, animation, design, visual effects, vision and sound editing and screen production skills.
After successfully completing this course, you can apply directly to Holmesglen for entry to the CUA51015 Diploma of Screen and Media in either the Short Film or Animation streams.
Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

Develop and extend design skills and practice
Produce drawings to communicate ideas
Create 2D digital animations
Create visual design components
Write content for a range of media
Good passes at Year 11 level or the overseas equivalent and preferably some relevant work experience.
English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 (Academic).
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
You may be able to shorten the length of your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by another registered training organisation will be recognised by Holmesglen. QUALIFICATION AND RECOGNITION
After completing this course, you will receive the nationally endorsed CUA41215 Certificate IV in Screen and Media.
Graduates may apply for entry into related courses offered at diploma level.
If you successfully complete this course, you will be given direct access to the screen and media course at Holmesglen, with the opportunity to study the CUA51015 Diploma of Screen and Media.
Graduates who successfully complete this course can also seek entry into the first year of Film and Television Degree programs at many Universities.
