Our Board

Our organisational structure reflects the new competitive and contestable environment of vocational education and training, and also provides a focus for new strategic areas such as business development, higher education, and e-learning. It is a dynamic new structure to lead the organisation in the next phase of its exciting journey as a contemporary tertiary education provider.
Peter Lewinsky
Peter has conducted an advisory practice over the last 25 years, providing strategic, financial and governance advice to a wide range of public and private companies and government.
Keri Bailey
Keri was elected by the staff of Holmesglen Institute to the position of director in June 2016. She has been Holmesglen's Manager, Corporate Improvement and Compliance since 2015, after a distinguished career at Swinburne University
Ann Barker
Ann retired from the Victorian Parliament in November 2014, having served as the Member for Oakleigh from 1999 to 2014. Prior to this, Ann worked in the Victorian courts, was an adviser to The Hon Simon Crean and also served as the Member for Bentleigh.
Dean Cleland
Dean is a senior executive with extensive international experience predominantly in financial services in the areas of banking, operations, technology, property and enterprise services, and major transformation.
Karen Corry
Karen is a professional consultant providing strategy, governance and risk services, with a particular focus on the interaction between business and technology. Karen built her career at KPMG, where she was a partner at KPMG Consulting.
Emeritus Professor Peter Darvall AO
Professor Darvall is a civil engineering graduate of the University of Melbourne and gained higher degrees from Ohio State University and Princeton University. After a period of professional engineering practice in Australian and overseas, Professor Darvall commenced his career with Monash University, progressing from Lecturer to Dean,
Mary Faraone
As Holmesglen's Chief Executive, Mary Faraone is also a director of its board. Mary commenced at Holmesglen in mid-2003 and became the institute's Chief Executive in October 2013.
Michael Gorton AM
Michael is an experienced commercial lawyer with a focus on the health sector and is currently a Principal and Partner of Russell Kennedy Lawyers. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce and has over 35 years' experience in legal practice.
Christy Karamzalis
Christy is currently a senior industry manager with Google Australia with responsibility for leading Google's relationships with the banking sector and transforming its media partnerships with Melbourne-based banks.
Leonie Morgan AM
Leonie has worked across the Australian private, public and community sectors. She currently consults in leadership, workforce development, governance and mentoring.
Bruce Porter
Bruce has extensive experience in financial reporting, auditing and corporate governance. He retired from Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in May 2011, where he was an audit partner and head of the firm's National Accounting Technical Group.
Catherine Walsh
Catherine is a University of Melbourne alumna with an honours law degree and a commerce degree. She worked as a senior legal associate with Clayton Utz for five years prior to joining Australia Post as a Senior Corporate Lawyer.
